The Jackson Hole Community Band is a volunteer organization established in 1989, playing concert band music for recreation and community service. Players range in age from early-teens to the eighties. We have no skill level requirement, but prefer people who have played at least the junior high skill level. The typical number of years from previous playing experience to Jackson Hole Community Band is 15 to 25 years. It's never too late to join!

We began with a core group of 20 people, and now boast a membership of approximately 50. A typical rehearsal draws 30-40 musicians, with an average 38 musicians playing for big events such as concerts and parades. The level of enthusiasm has multiplied since the Band's inception, not to mention the increase in requests to perform and the overall quality of the performances. As a group, we strive to provide total enjoyment for the audience and members alike. The Wyoming Centennial Committee has designated the Band as a "Living Legacy," and to date, we have performed to an estimated 360,000 people at an average 25 community events per year. In September of each year since 1997, we have performed as an integral part of the "Old Bill's Fun Run for Charities" sponsored by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole.
